Create your Christmas content and upload it!

Upload a video full of Christmas Cheer that you made (preferred), a holiday YouTube link about your town or even just a noteworthy photo!

Surprise and amaze the World with your holiday cheer and creativity!

If you want to upload content, then go to Step 1a.
(If your content is already online, then use Step 1b)

To provide a YouTube link or other URL, then go to Step 1b.

Upload your content to Santa's computers (Step 1a)

Tip: Videos should be a minimum of 10 seconds but not exceed a minute or so.

Script Ideas: Be creative with your video!
• Send greetings e.g. "Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from the Calvins in Lakeside, Illinois, USA"
• Talk about your family Christmas traditions.
• Talk about your Christmas Wish for the world.
• Give a tour of your home's Christmas display/tree.
• Send greetings with an iconic view of your home town in the background.
• Dress up and sing a Christmas Carol.
• Say "Merry Christmas" in another language and talk about that culture's traditions.
• Wear Santa hats & each person tells a silly Christmas joke.

Now: Click on the "Choose File" button and find the video or photo you wish to upload from your device.


The file name of the video will appear in green beside the "Choose File" button if all is well.

Now click on the green button below to upload your video to Santa's computer.

• Please be patient.  It takes a bit for videos to upload.
• By using this service you grant us the right to use your uploaded content.
• Inappropriate videos will not be displayed. We reserve the right to not use content.

• Your video will appear above this message once it has successfully upload.

If your content is already online, then you can just upload the URL to it here. (It's a lot easier for the elves that way!) Or upload the URL to other [non-commercial] Christmas content from your town that will spread Cheer to others!

About the Merry Christmas Project

The goal of The Merry Christmas Project is to...
Spread some Christmas Cheer
during this horrible, horrible year.
To keep spirits Merry & Bright
To have the whole world unite
Against the darkness
Of our world-wide Covid fight.

To do this, people around the globe are invited to upload a short video of themselves wishing the world a Merry Christmas.

The videos are then uploaded to YouTube. Links to the video from the person's location on a map are created.

Visitors can then click on the map link to watch the uploaded Christmas Greeting and glimpse how the rest of the world celebrates the Season.
